This is a collection of general tips for playing in a casino.
These tips apply to your entire stay, everything you do.
1. If the Casino offers free membership, sign up.
This is a pretty big one. Casino membership often has MANY bonuses, most of which are free. If you frequently visit a casino (Once a month or more) sign up. Especially smaller casinos, the casino where I work offers a lot of free bonuses, free prize draws, free drinks for patrons while gaming (Excluding alcohol if you are below platinum membership) and you earn points for all the money you spend. These actually add up faster than you think, and frequently even our bronze members earn things like a free nights accommodation or free meals at our 5 star restaurant. A particular event we have is a cash prize draw every night, and to be eligible all you do is swipe your card at the table or machine you are playing at. If your name gets called you have 2 minutes to make it to the announcer and you win that nights cash draw. If you don't make it the next name is called. If 3 people don't make it the cash doubles the next night. It starts at around $500-$1000, and just a few weeks back a lady won $20,000 just for being there. It's worth at least checking out their free membership programs for a chance like that.
2. If you aren't sure what to do, go home.
This is a simple, simple point, but many ignore it.
A casino is a venue for entertainment, if you don't know why you are there. Go home.
If you aren't having fun, Go home.
If you've lost more money than you wanted to, GO HOME.
If you are ahead but unsure what to do with the money GO HOME.
We love having you there but it is ALWAYS better to end your night on a positive. Too many people get unsure of themselves or their winnings and blindly put it back on a table only to lose most of it in minutes. Too many people suddenly turn around and realize how upset or cranky they are but sit there trying to chase their losses. Please, I know how important money is but we are an entertainment industry, not a job. Take what you can waste on entertainment, gamble it, if you lose, you had fun, if you win, EVEN BETTER. Either way you come out a winner, and so do we.
3.Keep an eye on the time.
Our casino has clocks, if yours doesn't take a watch.
It's amazing how many people lose track of time and miss something they were supposed to do, or were supposed to meet friends somewhere else and end up being late. We enjoy having you, but so do your friends and loved ones. It's also an added bonus to your willpower if you have to leave and just happen to be ahead.
More tips to come in the near future, but before that we'll get into the fun stuff, Blackjack and Roulette up next, Follow the blog and leave any comments tips or suggestions. Enjoy!
